Bruce: Back in 2002, I spent a month in South Korea watching the World Cup. I brought back a bunch of StarCraft comics, cookbooks, intimate apparel, and whatnot. This got Tom thinking, and when we were looking for a game this month, he suggested we write up our own non-Korean StarCraft fan fiction.

Tom: That’s partly correct. I did suggest StarCraft, but for three reasons that have nothing to do with writing fan fiction: 1) It’s a very slow time of year, so unless we thought of some cool retro game, we were going to end up playing that awful Playboy: The Mansion thing to see which of us could publish the sexiest issue, 2) I was curious to see how this seminal RTS has held up over the years, and 3) since it’s an RTS, it’s going to be an easy win for me. Remember how badly Barack Obama beat Alan Keyes last November? It’s going to be like that.
